Welcome to the Master of Public Policy a The University of Utah. If you are seeking to shape public policy and the democratic tradition, The University of Utah MPP offers many opportunities for learning, research, professional development, and public engagement. Our curriculum is designed to provide you with the analytical, methodological, and statistical skills needed to undertake needs assessments, analyze policy alternatives, and evaluate the effectiveness of public policies.

The faculty are committed to excellence and have both academic and practical experience dealing with a wide range of policy topics (e.g., family policy, health policy, environmental policy). Their range of methodological experience includes work related to needs assessments, program development, policy analysis, and policy evaluation at the local, state, and national level. The faculty's extensive policy-related experiences translate into rich classroom settings where you will learn how to use cutting-edge social science approaches to tackle real-world, public policy questions.
