Making a Difference - Together

The University of Utah Master of Public Policy (MPP) program emphasizes policy and economic analysis combined with quantitative courses for students seeking to build analytical skills to effectively solve public policy problems. These core skills are valuable in national, state, and local government, "think tanks," consulting firms, nonprofit groups, and private companies in the United States and around the world. Degree options include:

Professional degree program: Full time or part time - it's your choice. Core courses are offered in the evening, and your electives are taken in a policy area you care about.

Joint JD/MPP: Earn a law degree and a MPP degree in less time than pursuing the degrees separately.

Joint MPP/MPH degree: Advance your skills in policy analysis and expand your knowledge of public health issues.

Combined Bachelors/Masters degrees: Earn your Bachelors degree in economics or political science and a MPP in five years.
